	Mr. Physics says: Magnificient! It must be great to have sunrises/sunsets that last many hours. Would you tell us more about the radar? It's difficult to determine the scale, and thus the frequencies. Is this the antennae array for the Southern Hemisphere Auroral Radar Experiment, located at the South African National Antarctic Expedition (SANAE) base in Antarctica? How does it work? 	Antarctic M says: Here's a description of the SHARE radar, and here's the website for the whole network of radars. It is the same as the SANAE radar, as that is part of the same network. They have a few differences though, one is that their radar is built on rock so it doesn't get buried in the snow, and they have their transmitter boxes inside instead of on the towers (we are moving ours inside in the summer).
