bush at UN protest - sept 07

We Socialist Party NYC folks went to the protest at the UN on September 25th. Bush was addressing the assembly so we were there to say no to the war. There was a smallish but very diverse and exciting turnout. We had a big handful of arrests in an area where folks were practicing civil disobedience. When the cops shut us down, we were able to move to the streets and make it a downtown march with no problems - and we were able to pass out a lot of literature to very receptive sidewalk audiences - workers who couldn't leave their jobs to join us, but who came out to give us their support.
