Suggestion for shooting fireworks:

Shoot a manual exposure. Make your aperture around F16 so the background will stay dark and the fireworks will stand out. Mine were all 20 second exposures. For focal length do it so it'll frame it no matter water (I shot around 20mm) and you can crop it if you need to.
