Alleys, cobbles, stairs, little tunnels, a small church. One of some pictures of the quaint small towns of the Kvarner region of Croatia. In this case Vrbnik, a small town built on a cliff on the island of Krk, consisting mainly of narrow alleys, to protect its inhabitants from the cold Bora wind in the winter (and to provide shade in the summer as a bonus).
