I am generally unhappy with shots of clouds taken from airplane portals, primarily because the lexan/plastic windows dull the colors, soften the sharpness, and there's usually a wing in the way.

Actually, there was a wing edge in this shot (lower left), which I filled in with some cloud clones. (Hope it's not too obvious.)

In post I had to increase the saturation, improve the contrast considerably, and smooth, smooth, smooth. (Someday, I hope I get a better camera with less noise!)

Came out better than I expected, though probably not an award-winning shot. I'm still happy with it. I especially like the sun-rays.

	blogrodent says: Thanks, joshunter. I looked at Neat Image and compared it to Noise Ninja. I'm not sure which is better (reviews were mixed) but I liked the interface of Noise Ninja better and liked that it sampled multiple regions of the photo for noise reduction.
