This is sometime during my sophomore year. I'm guessing it's early 1999. I was hanging out with my friend Mikey (aka Skittles) in the room he shared with Scott. I had also stolen his hat, hence the photo. Notice also my overalls. I LOVE OVERALLS.

W&M, my old stomping grounds. I was
there a bit before you, though, 'cause I'm
ancient.

Miellerie -- Awww, you can't be that old! I
graduated Class of 2001 with a degree in
computer science. I even have this gorgeous
diploma showing a photo of the Wren Building
above the actual diploma. It's not doing me
a whole lot of good right now; I'm a
stay-at-home mom.
Chele -- I do believe this is my hair after
being windblown and rained on.

Hey, my degree is in CS also! (If you
weren't so much younger than I, I might think
we're the same person! I was there in the
late 80s, so I am indeed quite ... mature.)

YAY for female CS majors!!! I forgot to
mention the other reason my degree is now
completely useless -- we were programming in
C++ way back in the day, and I'm sure they've
moved on to yet another language by now.
When I was in high school, the CS people
programmed in Pascal; in college, it was C++
going into Java. Who knows what it is now??
Man, this is getting a bit freaky, isn't it?
We're both from southern VA, both attached
to men named Kurt (and we all know
"Kurt" is better than
"Curt"), and both CS majors from
W&M!!! How cool! Maybe I'm just a
younger incarnation of you. ;o)
PS -- This photo was taken at Dillard, the
off-campus dorm that used to be part of
Eastern State. It was where sophomore males
ended up, three miles off campus, and having
to ride the bus every time you wanted to get
to campus. It was a Pain In the Butt to live
out there.

Strange, isn't it? I mean, how many CS
majors from W&M married to guys named
Kurt can there be? Indeed, YAY for female CS
majors! When I was in school, we programmed
in mostly Pascal and C++. Although I work in
the CS field today, I can't say that I've
really used anything I learned in college
because technology changes so quickly. In
the "real world" (hah!), we do
mostly Java, ColdFusion, or ASP.NET where I
work.
(Although I commuted to school, I'm very
familiar with Dillard because one of my best
friends lived there.)
