Most people I've shown this to in full-screen format have a really hard time visually orienting themselves to this photo. It reminds me of the old Mad Magazine "Poiuyt" optical illusion. It's relatively easy to decipher in the small thumbnail above, but try it in larger format and it just might drive you crazy for a few seconds. From inside the log cathedral at Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford CT.

Thanks Richard & Ozomom! I wasn't sure if the effect would work when dumbed down for the internet. When I first looked at the shot in the camera I couldn't make it out, and I thought somehow the image got inverted. Faked me out so badly I took a second shot & got the same result. When I looked at it on the computer for the first time I was REALLY confused, and after staring at it for a while I finally saw it correctly. The effect was a real surprise!
