"Open That Bottle Night" February 24, 2007

We've been thinking about having one of these events for a couple of years. Well, eight of us got together on February 24, 2007, and enjoyed some interesting wine, good stories, and good company.

If you don't know what "Open That Bottle Night" is, the idea was developed by Dorothy Gaiter and John Brecher, the wine writing couple for the Wall Street Journal.

Their philosophy is simple: why wait, why leave an unopened bottle of wine around, just because you "might" enjoy it some time in the future? Enjoy it this very evening. Make some memories now, or relive some great memories associated with that wine.

The "Night" was established as a way to get everyone to take part, and the event has become world-wide.
