I see this look in people sometimes -
especially around here in the heat of a
south west summer - like they saw a nuclear
explosion - the burnt luminescence still in
the eyes pushing through ashes - have seen
that look in other of your images as well -
haunting - i could say i like the way his
hair looks but that would sound sort of
stupid . . .

so many things combine to make this a great
image (i probably don't even know)...but
right now i am most impressed by the
timing...you seem to always capture the right
moment when the subject is most vulnerable.

Was going through the stunning FTPA slide
show (couldn't find Peaches!) and this image
stopped me in my tracks!! One of the basest
human conditions of pure survival mode so
eloquently expressed in this image. Awe
