Sometimes upside-down is just right
OK, I promise, this will be the last one of these crystal ball shots (well, until I dedide otherwise). :-)
I showed the two previous pictures to a colleague of mine, first this one and then this one. On the first one, he said for his taste it was a bit too blurred, and when I asked him, whether he liked the second one better, he answered as follows:
"Hi Ines,
I wouldn’t want to say it’s "better" and thus devalue the first one. It is an emotional reflection in its own right, what the inner world looks like, how much of it is unknown (blurred) and how far the unknown reaches to the outer world. Or how clear the inner life seems to you, but maybe you feel that it is too orderly or too “monotonously structured”, like a bookshelf, but already overlaid by an “intruder” (the guitar), which brings hope to the deadlocked life. The shelf (structured life) in the background already gets a bit blurry, and the joyous life (actively making music) is already pushing forward with “sharpness” …
See, what I have allowed myself to do (i. e. turning the image upside-down): The outside lies there and possibly lets the things develop patiently without having any purpose or wish.
Thus the inner world isn’t turned upside-down anymore … only your signature is upside-down now.
G. B."
(I used his initials to save his privacy.)
I love the way he expressed what he saw in these images. It doesn't matter that for me the bookshelf and the guitar are rather symbolizing what I love most in life (music and literature). Everyone can see something else here.

Reflecting My World (your opinion, please!)
This is a different take on the crystal ball than the one before, this time with the focus on the guitar.
Please let me know, which one you prefer. I can't decide, I like both of them.

Listening to Outer Space
Frankfurt's television tower "Europe Tower", or as folks call it "Ginnheim Asparagus", with some pretty dramatic sky as background.

My most loyal fan
Got the idea, when I saw a picture of such a fan on someone else's photostream. Got myself such a fan on a festival, which took place this weekend in Frankfurt (Museumsuferfest), where there were hundreds of booths with many beautiful things to buy (well, if you had enough money with you).
This fan only cost me 2 Euros, an amount I could just afford. :-)
