Believe it or not, this is in some really
yellow available light in an elevator in the
Marine Building.
I spent a long time getting it back to a
decent white balance and doing some other
minor tonal corrections. Then I decided to go
a different direction and went with the
greenish tone and strange exposure.
I don't think I could've gotten it going
straight from one to the other, but that
middle step felt like a lot of wasted work at
the end. I'm really glad people like this
one.

higher resolution looks *linty*. i dunno no
if its the camera or the make-up but that
really *kills* the image for me. nice

It's been a long time since I did this work
but (if I recall correctly) I made the big
changes in Lightroom 1.0 and finished up in
Photoshop CS2.
Lightroom:
- *lots* of playing with white balance to
offset the peculiar
almost-tungsten-but-not-quite light it was
shot in
- Direct Positive preset
- Levels tweaking
- Saturation tweaking
- Vignetting
- Colour correction tweaking to give
incorrect values for blue/green on purpose
CS2:
- Minor cleanup (blemishes, scratch on
elevator wall) w/ healing brush
- Masked her tattoos and brightened them a
bit
- Sharpening (probably overdone w/Unsharp
Mask, look at her nose in large. I can't tell
if it was makeup or my oversharp)
That's all I can recall. Lots of little
changes adding up :)
