Emerson Hospital

In September, I had surgery at Emerson Hospital in Concord. It is a small, community hospital, and both of my children were born there. I had not been hospitalized since that time, many decades ago. I was in long enough to grow bored, so I asked a friend to bring me my camera.

Since then, I have returned daily for six weeks for radiation treatments. The longer I spent there, the more I realized that a patient judges a hospital more by its people than by its facilities. The people here are wonderful. I now wish I had taken more pictures of them and fewer pictures of the building.
