These turned out wonderful, Chawne! How do
you feel about the fraternal-ness?

Thanks, L and J! It was great fun to get to
"swatch" this yarn!
Well, I'm not so sure. The one on top is
quite rainbow-y and has semi-solid areas,
while the one on bottom is made from both
balls and has a less colorful foot. So I
guess they're more similar in the area that
counts!

Then I am not such a chicken to wait to see
how yours turned out? While I don't mind
Trekking's fraternal nature, I was a teeny
bit concerned about the Melody. While I would
wear socks knit from this yarn, it would be
hard to gift them to a non-knitter. :-) When
her trunk show was at the shop, there was a
gorgeous triangular shawl knit with 6-8 balls
of the Melody. That idea is starting to appeal to me. Thank you
for sharing your experience!!

Yep, it'd be better utilized in a stole or
shawl where the color changes shine, but
there's no pressure to match stripes.
So...get to it! I'll be cheering you on
whenever you do it.

Awesome. How many socks have you knit this
year? Seems like there's a new pair every
time I check your photo stream:)

Thanks for the nudge/shove :-) You've
definitely helped confirm that this is the
colorway (MS18) for me! I'll buy more balls!

Thanks again, everyone!
This is the 29th pair of 2007 and the 55th
overall. I decided to devote a couple of
weeks to de-orphaning and found that I had
started many second socks but stalled out
pretty far into them. So finishing hasn't
been too bad.

Your socks are beautiful. Thanks for
including the patterns and the wools and
needles used. That is always a great help.
I've spent a lovely half hour with your
pictures!

Thanks, everyone!
Good luck with the pattern! I look forward
to watching your progress.
Thanks! I've found the "journal"
format quite useful, myself. It's a great
