i love snails and this is a great shot, so
this is an instant fave for me. =)
i hope you didn't decide to take him home
and turn him into fancy french food. snails
are much cooler alive.

Hey BG, no way, I love watching them and
seeing the snail trails they leave behind :-)
I have never eaten one. I used to collect
them when I was a kid and sell them to the
Italian tourists at the market.

that's a relief! i agree about the slime
trails. they're very cool, especially when
they dry and become hard and glisten.
what did the Italian tourists want the
snails for? that's not your usual sort of
travel souvenir.

this reminds me of something i experienced
the other day....
there was a slug creeping across the window
of my cousin's house and they decided itd be
best to discard its presence. So, they took a
handful of salt and threw it at the thing. We
watched as it sizzled and disintagrated in a
matter of seconds. i would never kill
anything on my own behalf, but it was a very
unique experience.
i'm glad this'n got to stick around. cool
