For a year after college I worked as distribution manager for a small non-profit magazine. It was swell. One day our distributor in Vancouver calls up, out of breath, to tell me that he's got big news. "You finished the route on time?" I asked. "No man, no, listen, this is big, you know 24 Hours? I just got the contract! For the whole city! My boys are working double, triple overtime. You know, we could use some organizing around here. Somebody like you. Want to come to Vancouver? Seriously. Whatever they're paying you there, I'll double it."

I would have been the guy bossing this orange-vest dude around. Looking at this picture makes me realize, once again, how happy I am that I stayed in Montreal.
