I shot this photo from a roof over the shuk (market) in the Muslim Quarter of the old city in Jerusalem. The Dome of the Rock is in the center. The dome is generally photographed from other angles to emphasize its amazing beauty or to see it in relation to the other holy sites in its immediate area. This view shows the dome from the perspective of its surrounding neighborhood whose residents live mundane lives like everyone else.
