Hey David,
Fantastic originality IMHO. You contacted
me for your music icons thing looking for
that Jerry Garcia in bronze ,or it might be
copper. Anyway I am new to flikr but you can
DEF have the shot in question. Not sure how
that works, let me know.

blindingly obvious it had not actually
occurred to me before!
To Laino glad to have you in the musical
icons group! And thanks re the digital
collages! Yes it is indeed a really important
issue!
To Gorman - you just join the group and
then go to the images you intend to add and
click on the add to group button which
appears above each image second left I think.
And then confirm that you wish it entered in
the group pool. That should do it!

Great Piece - especially at the larger view -
like very much how some of the helmets have
taken on a WW1 & WW2 look - like the same
old tragic experience keeps repeating for so
many years.
Really like your work - so glad that we met
here at flickr -

Yes I thought that there was huge
continuity in this image with earlier US
images of war (Vietnam and Korea too) and
this makes an additional point in the work.

This series is so evocative I can hardly bear
looking at them - this is a great compliment,
but a horror of war and violence. This
particular one recalls for me the Dark Age
stone from Lindisfarne with a line of
marauding Vikings - a most mighmarish image -
do you know it?

In some ways, the small cubes function like
fence wire -
there are also figural discrepancies where
parts of
the figure are repeated across the
repetition - all of
which puts it in the realm of impression,
not documentation,
which helps enunciate its statement!
