Clearwater Beach - Looking South from Pier 60
A view from Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach, Florida, looking south. To the left you can see the Spyglass Resort Hotel which was where Criss Angel performed his last death-defying stunt on the evening of July 30, 2008.
Criss was handcuffed to a railing 4 floors below the roof with 4 locked doors between him and the roof. The last door had two locks. He had 3 minutes and 30 seconds to get to the roof where a helicopter was waiting to take him to a safe distance before the demolition of the building 30 seconds later. He made it as far as the last lock on the last door when the building was demolished after a total of 4 minutes. He emerged from the wreckage apparently unharmed a few moments later.

Beaten
A jockey taking off his helmet as he walks back to the paddock after a race at Tampa Bay Downs in Oldsmar, Florida (near Tampa).
Spent yesterday aftenoon at Tampa Bay Downs with some friends. I'd never been there before, despite the fact that I started riding horses at an early age (I was riding in shows when I was about 6) and do watch horse racing.

Setup
The setup for the picture of the flowers. The only thing different is that the transmitting Pocket Wizard is on the camera taking this picture rather than the camera that took the final picture of the flowers.
This was one of the most interesting photos of February 17th, 2008.

Flowers
Alanna asked me to take a pictures of the flowers I got her for Valentine's Day so she could show her mom.
Of course, I could've taken a quick snapshot, but where's the fun in that?
For this shot I set the bouquet on a table with a 580EX II (triggered by Pocket Wizards) at 1/4 power through a 43" umbrella to high camera left, then placed a 430EX (slaved off the 580EX II via infrared) at 1/64 power to camera right, slightly above and behind the subject with a gobo preventing the light from contaminating the table or glass. You can see the exact layout here.
