Interesting picture. My late Mom, grandmother
and aunt stayed at the Westin (as it was
known then) at the RenCen when it opened up
back in the '70s.

very nice. very informative.
I'm worried about the Book Tower as it has
recently joined the ranks of [totally]
abandoned buildings.

Very nice photo with straight verticals. No
parallel convergence issues here. Great
shot.

I saw this great photo in: The Photo of The Week group.

The book tower is definitely one of my
favorites. I adore the tall and skinny ones.

AMAZING photos...I grew up just outside of
Detroit. My mom and dad were both born and
raised there....still have tons of family
back there. Can't wait to show these
pictures to her....

My mom sat here for over an hour looking at
the photos and reminicing about so many of
the locations......One of the school shots
was down the street from where she went to
school. I forwarded your pics to my aunt and
uncle who I know will love them. Your shots
of the Packard factory are amazing....as with
the Train Station. What blows my mind is the
fact that buildings like that can stand empty
for 20-30 years. Of course, living in San
Diego, any patch of dirt that isn't being
used is gobbled up by developers in a
second...... Thanks so much for sharing AND
all the historical significance behind the
photos.

I'm glad you and your family are enjoying
them. If you have any personal memories or
thoughts about the pictures feel free to add
them. My wife and I love hearing them. Thanks
again and wish you all the best.
