I really like this image and I put it in my
blog: Both of Us.
I seriously think this photo deserves a
wide viewing; it is beautiful and also has a
strong impact. Have you considered submitting
it to a local or national newspaper?

Cute slogan, but wrong-headed. You don't
have to read very far in the Old Testament to
find God raising his hand against someone.
Even Jesus resorted to violence against the
money changers in the temple. Would Jesus
have bombed Hitler? Maybe. Do you think he
couldn't be bothered with someone like Sadam
who only killed a few hundred thousand
people?

Left-Coast: To me, that would be the very
point. Christians ask what would Jesus do.
I would like to ask, "What would a good person do?" Because those embroiled in
religions are usually also embroiled in
battles. Jesus is not the measure of
goodness, and I'm tired of this country's and
every other country's crusades.

I think you have identified the wrong
culprit. People will use whatever believe
they hold strongly (Christianity, or
something else) to justify their actions.
Lacking religion, they'll use their belief in
power capitalism or communism. Perhaps
you’re tired of the nature of people, not the
nature of their religions.

Staying away from the religeon, the politics
and the children.... As an image - I think
this works well, there's a real sense of
anger and concentration in his face which is
magnified by the other faces looking away
behind him. Focus concentrates on him and
his image, is just blurred enough in the
mid-ground to make sure I don't mistake the
main event then falls off to a blurred enough
background to prevent distraction.
The banner is a bit too white.
(and the border looks naff - looks like a
funeral card!!)

Great photo. I imagine it is very powerful in
America. Here in the UK the image doesn't
pack quite the same punch because most
British Christians (except those in
goverment) have been against the war since
day 1.

It is powerful in the US because George W.
Bush professes to being a Christian. So the
big question would be "What would Jesus
do?" Would he bomb a country killing
people like the US is doing now? or would he
work this whole crisis out in an innovative,
intelligent and peaceful way?

You know, radical muslums and evil people
like Saddam want to kill every man, woman and
child in the US and every other western
nation, they want everyone to practice
radical Islam, there would be no Christianity
if the US and the allies wasnt fighting
against these terrorist.

When is the last time a christian strapped a
bomb on himself and blew up innocent people?
When was the last time christians took to
the street and blew up mosque because the
leader of Iran said negative things about
christians. When the Pope said that some
Islamic teaches might be violent, muslims
everywhere took to streets burning churches
and killing nuns, if you think for one moment
at all that radical muslums are no more
dangerous than some crazy christians then you
have your head in the sand, and you are
wrong.

mmmm, I commented on this photograph 14
months ago in a voting pool and now it's
coming up in 'comments you've made' so I got
interested
in answer to your question chasealpha1 the
last time that I remember Christians took to
the street strapped with bombs and blew up
innocent people was a few years ago in
Northern Ireland and it was both Catholics
and Protestants who were doing it
and in the 1990's the IRA had a very long
bombing campaign in London while at the same
time fundraising away in America. Many many
innocent people died and if our Prime Minster
at the time had been in bed one night at 4am
where most normal people are they would have
been blown up too. Religion and terrorism is
not a 21st century thing, it's just that
American has only wakened up to it.
Radical religious people will always be a
problem because they believe their god will
vindicate them for atrocities committed on
earth, and it doesn't matter what religion
you come from really if you’re a radical

This is a very powerful photograph as it
obviously strikes a strong chord and invokes
many different sentiments and ideologies.
But will it promote discussion that will
bring people closer by listening to each
other's differing views or will it only
polarize what people already believe? Alas, I
suspect the latter.
On a personal level, I love the strenght of
conviction this man shows, which is
reinforced by the composition and being in
black and white.
Good job!

Who would Jesus aka God bomb? Oh, let's see .
. . the Philistines, the Caananites, the
Egyptians (AFTER horrible plagues of course),
and more! Swords and such were the primary
weapons of war in the Old Testament, but if
the Israelites had had a Stealth bomber or
some Patriot missiles and a couple of
Nukes--well, it simply would have been faster
and easier to annihilate men, women and
children. "But this is the New
Testament!" they cry! Ever read
Revelation? Our time is coming. We will see
just how "sweet" your WWJD God is
then . . .

To whom it may concern,
I am
currently producing a large concert that will
be broadcast across America and possibly
Europe. One factor in this show is visuals of
the world by ordinary people, looking through
face book it is very obvious that so many of
you have a great eye. We are looking for
photos that represent many aspects of modern
life such Love, Loss, Family War Nature Hope
etc. So if you might be interested please
send your suggestions and interest to
voiceofhope2@gmail.com we would love to hear
from you.
Kind Regards,
Allen Doyle.
