Missing, but Not Yet Dead
Larger.
It's not sharp; I seem to be shaky lately. But I think it works in an abstract sort of way. Besides, I gotta keep trying to like the 50/1.8 lens. ;)

St. Paul Cathedral Panorama #2
Full res version.
Seen from the top observation area of St. Pauls Cathedral in London. Assembled from five G9 images with Autopano Pro; finished in CS3. Original size is about 7600x5000 pixels. The sky was nice that day; there was storming weather approaching for the next day.

London Panorama from Top of St. Pauls Cathedral
Larger.
Assembled from 26 G9 images with Autopano Pro and finished in PS CS3. No pictures are allowed inside the cathedral (pretty vigorously enforced, too; none of my sniped shots came out as usable). But, you can shoot as you like from the observation areas after you climb up to the top of the dome (which you can see falling off in the foreground).
The Millenium footbridge is on the far left. Spires from the cathedral are in the middle. Lots of kluttery London buildings everywhere; it's not very scenic overall except for the historic bits. Look closely and you can see the Eye.
The original is approximately 12000x5000 pixels and is mostly pretty sharp.

Yeah, So What?
Larger.
It's a little flary due to the polarizer. If you use a polarizer on a P&S, be very careful to make sure it is perfectly clean (the problem here) and there is no light shining onto the polarizer. Because of the extreme DoF for P&S cameras, the polarizer surface will be at least partially in focus and everything will show. D'Oh!
