Recently my wife found all 1952 issues of a now totally forgotten women's magazine, nicely bound together in one volume.

The magazine is called "BEATRIJS, catholic weekly for women" and offers an interesting view into what the church deemed suitable for its female followers to read about in those long gone, non secularized days.

What struck me was the advertising in it and especially the large quantity of brands of 56 years ago that we still know and use today. I have scanned a number and will publish them here (on otherwise slow photographic days).

Brasso... Even the can's design has hardly changed in all those years!

By the way, I'll be on a short holiday the next 10 to 12 days. Don't know about internet access at the holiday home in Haamstede, Zeeland. We'll see, have a good one!
