Lovely greg- you are looking totally like you
are made of marble here, How much is in the
processing vs shaving vs lighting vs
something else entirely?
Irrespective great tones and nice
composition.

there's not much to the processing here,
steve. I just cooled the colors down and
upped the shadows some. Thanks very much for
the compliment!

Great "red wall portrait", greg. I
like how the exposure hides one part of your
face and shows the other. The reflection of
the light source is nice too. Neat work!

You need to try posing yourself (upper body)
like Michelangelo's David, which sprang to
mind with this lighting!

Was the lighting on the tattoo on your right
arm serendipitous or planned? The whole
portrait is a study in using light and shadow
to define shapes, and the pose recalls
classical Greek statues. Well done, egg.

look like a statue.

thanks very much everyone!!
@mark, the lighting on the tat was sort of
planned, sort of not. I knew how the light
was hitting me, but I was using the IR remote
for my camera and taking several shots for
each pose I tried. Part of why I chose this
shot of this pose was because I happened to
position my arm just as so. (In other words,
yes, the light was something I was going for,
but only got it through repetition.)

arielle, yeah. it helped. I didn't use it for
any ostentatious purposes, but imagine what
this series would look like if my eyes
*weren't* so dark, y'know? Thanks for the
compliment - and the face goo. :)

Still, of this set, this is my favourite.
Possibly because of the Michelangelo-esque
pose. It seems the most interesting .

you a hug that lasts seven whole minutes.
this image, this series, is utterly you.

i like this one best. the way the light hits
one side of your face, the tone of your arm,
the shade of the wall.

Wow, that's a really nice shot. The muted
skin tones stand out so starkly against that
bright red backdrop. The eye darkening
make-up works incredibly well.
