Alien invasion. Reminds me of the Atari video
game, too.

I'm so glad you caught this. I was going to
point them out but the whole
fundamental-extremist-religious-bashing-monol
ogue had taken over the laid back mimosa
sipping brunch.
Thank God or Allah or Buddha or ??? we
finally changed the subject.

I'm with Greg - the B&W choice is perfect
here. Gives it a marvelous flat Western
feel. Audio track: the creak of a swinging
shingle sign, the jingle of spurs.

that house is clearly generating fake
contrails from its roof peak and antennae.
Wear your tinfoil hats while in this area.

Very cool. California is a great place for
contrail shots, even in the air:

@emdot: maybe i'm reaching
Something's reaching - that roof peak in
the center does something, um, creepy for
your composition.
I dug these out of my shoebox just last
week:

Wow, were all these visible at the same time
or did you layer a few shots? Either way, I
want to try that some time...

all visible at the same time, annie. which
makes it look like somebody was bound to
collide. but no aeroplanes were harmed in the
making of this film.
bob, creepy? really? i can't see it, but i
like how your mind works.
thank you anideg & jimheid & philh
(i made a couple field goals; does that
count?) & mr. greenjeans & ranjit (i
am severely lacking on video game hipness --
chagrin -- ). :)
bithead, why is that do you think? my
friend steve crane (he's on flickr) lives in
south africa (or as he likes to call it ZA)
and he says that contrails are a very rare
sight. interesting....
l&f -- and post them in this thread.
james, did you just say that greg is
stunning? ;) he is pretty fabulous.
and linus, when you say you are with greg,
what exactly do you mean? is there going to
be a fight between you and jimbob?
greg, i thank you. :)
yardsale. dude. biting my tongue as to
still not get involved with that
conversation. but can i just say (heh), that
if one were to lambast against a
fundamentalist frame of mind, it is best to
not be black-and-white with one's view
points. phew. finally got that outta my
system. who wants mimosas? and didja getta
look at those contrails?
kevin, the aliens are definitely trying to
contact you. and/or learn the alphabet. :)

maybe the aliens were trying to graphically
display that frames of mind can cross each
other and change in an instant...and if we
don't get it, we may just vanish in the
wind...
naw. that's a bit too california of me, i'm
sure....

I'll take a mojito *and* a mimosa, if you
don't mind.
Such a cool shot, em! This would make a
nice fit in the X Marks the Spot group. :)

I'll skip the mojito and the mimosa if I can
have a Gibson, I know it's more of an evening
drink, but I just like 'em.
And, for the record, if Greg's playing
Linus and I off against each other, then I'm
not interested. Stunning or not, REALJimBob
doesn't share... ;-)
