DILO MARCH 2008

This is my set for the DILO a day in the life of... group for the 20th March 2008 - the Vernal Equinox (Spring Equinox).

I hadn’t really made any plans for the day, and the weather didn’t look as if it was going to be too good, although in the end it was okay - at least it didn’t rain! I wanted to include some photos with this DILO’s theme of NUMBERS which I liked, and thought it would be a good idea to go into Newquay, thinking mainly of numbers on boats in the harbour. First I took a few shots at home, a couple of clocks with different types of number, a can of baked beans with 50% reduced sugar and salt.

When I got into Newquay there were quite a few people around, and as it was nearly 1pm I decided to find somewhere for lunch, and ended up in the Pie, Mash and Liquor restaurant where I had……Pie, Mash and Liquor! It’s a long time since I had Pie, Mash and Liquor which I used to like, although this time I wasn’t too keen on the liquor so maybe I’ve lost the taste for that as I have some other foods. Silly me forgot to take of photo of my food.

After lunch I went for a wander around Newquay, down to Towan beach and then to the harbour to photograph some boats and other things. As I got to the harbour a boat was being lowered into the water by a crane, which made a nice shot. Then I had a wander back through the shopping area and back to my car.
