Let there be light!
I bought a couple of studio lights and just got to play around with them today. This image is a bit grainy, but it's just down to not being able to focus on me properly for the self-portrait - or rather, not taking the time and effort to do it properly ;-)

Cool - you got some lights....Where did you
get them from if you don't mind me asking?
I've signed up for Basic Studio Photography
night class at Glasgow Metropolitan College
starting next month. Looking forward to it.

LOL - you look like you're gently reproving
your camera here! "Come on now, behave
yourself..."
Looking forward to some more studio-lit
experimentation :)

"No, really. Stop shining that light in
my face"
pause
"What am I going to do about it? YOU
ask ME what am I going to do about it?"
pause
"Oh, you are about to find out"
. . . and . . . fade out / end scene
Yae! New lights! New Toys! :)

Got the lights from Fotosense.co.uk, they are
a home studio kit by Interfit (model no
EXD200).

Cool, and how are you finding working with
the studio kit? Is it easy enough to get to
grips with? Do you have a light meter and
infrared flash thing (don't know proper
names!!)? I'm looking forward to my studio
course starting next month, should be
interesting. Sarah :-)

Got the basic idea, need to play around with
it on a test shoot - are you volunteering ?
;-) Not a bad idea actually, we could shoot
each other (with the promise to bin the
results hahaha)
Got flashmeter and IR transmitter, problem
is the transmitter ain't working properly so
I think I may need to return that. So it may
be next week before i can play with it
properly. Still, took a couple of pics so
far, including my last couple of 365 pics so
you can see the results.
Am waiting for a book on studio lighting to
get some inspiration...
