Boat House

Here is an early morning image looking up the River Avon, past The Boat House and on up to the spire of Salisbury Cathedral in the far distance. Storm clouds were gathering overhead, rapidly blotting out the blue sky, and bringing the threat of a heavy storm. Half an hour later that threat became a reality when the heavens burst and it didn't stop raining at all for the rest of the day.

This is a view I have taken a number of times in recent years. I love the way the same scene changes over time and in different seasons - comparing different images and seeing the subtle differences. This is also a way of watching my own progress with processing etc.

Note: image taken with Canon 5D and processed afterwards using Lightroom (importing, sorting, tags etc), Bridge (so I could open the same exposure in CS3 multiple times as smart objects), Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Intous A4 graphics tablet.

Film Strip (Boat House)

My first film strip here on Flickr. Produced using Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Adobe Photoshop CS3 and using the recent Boat House image. Produced as part of my ongoing Illustrator and Photoshop training.
