My mom is pregnant with me here. Backyard of my grandma's place. Phoenix, Arizona. 1968. That empty lot behind the backyard is still there! How can an empty lot remain...well, empty...after all these years?

That's a tiny orange tree behind them. Just recently, after getting huge and producing citrus for years, it started dying. Some men finally dug it up and now it's in the tree afterlife. It sure made tasty oranges. Good tree, good tree.
