Made with bamboo, copper wire, hard disk platters, platter spacers

	ge_austin says: Because the five platters hanging from the large bamboo are all the same size they make the same musical tone. When two of them collide the tone is loud at first then gradually gets softer. You can hear overtones. Sometimes I use some 3.5" platters combined with 5.25" platters - the larger platters have a lower tone. Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )

I like to make them because I have to use my imagination to decide how to make it. I recycle computer parts, I get the bamboo from my own bamboo grove. I have made at least 10 of these.
