Eastern Tailed-Blue

This is a teeny tiny guy, and I think it is a guy because the other side of the wings are blue and my field guide says the females are more likely to be dark/brown. He moves somewhere around the speed of light! They land on the clover and slowly move/saw their wings back and forth in opposite directions while they sip nectar. But they are so small! And as soon as you get close at all, they are off! Very hard to get a photo of them. But this'll do.

UPDATE: Jasper and Amber went to their new home together 7/21/8

Jasper is available for adoption in Northern Virginia, USA, through HART .

Jasper and his sister Amber were adopted from HART as tiny kittens. Now they are 4 and a half years old and their human can no longer afford to take care of them. We are seeing more and more financial difficulty causing folks to have to give up their beloved pets. I bet all rescue groups are seeing it. I guess times are getting to be pretty hard.
