The Trafalgar school opened is doors in 1887. At first, a red brick building was built behind the house of Alexander Mitchell who was even used as a part of the school. The school have been extended many times and it doens't look good anymore. The house was probably torn down in the late 1970's. There's a picture of it at page 27 in a book print in 1976 : a feast of gingebread.
