I went up to Topsham this weekend where my house is. For those of you who don't know much about my house, I have a little house and a big barn on the side of a road in Northern Vermont. I don't get there as often as I'd like. With Greg having been in law school I, or we, didn't get there much at all.

I had some work done on the place last Winter that was supposed to fix some of the ongoing problems (roof leak, barn lean, etc) and I hadn't been up since. Greg and I split up last month and part of the working through that for me has been doing all the things that have been stagnating while I've been in law student support mode. My sister came up for the weekend and we went to check out the house which was, surprisingly, okay considering that it had been empty on the side of a highway with the doors unlocked for eight months.

The wishing pig was from the house. It had sat on the kitchen table with a little vial full of blank wishing slips that went inside it when someone wanted to make a wish.
