I am staying with James and Shinjoung for the last two nights of my trip. They recently moved to the Mission in a funky apartment with a MURPHY BED. It's actually about as cool as it sounds, and comfortable. They had to buy a mattress for it, apparently it's one of those things that doesn't come with the apartment.

	daveboudreau says: That's an actual picture of the murphy bed? I can't quite figure out the logistics of this one. I've seen murphy beds before but they also folded right up into the wall. Maybe it's the angle or scale of this photo but this bed doesn't seem like it would fit into the wall! Posted 8 months ago. ( permalink )
	jessamyn says: yeah it's a combination of a lot of blankets and the perspective. If you click backwards from the photstream you can see how the mattress folds up almost flush into the door [I mean sticking out just a mattress depth] and then the whole door spins around.
