class project
|
These 10 shots are part of my final project for my black-and-white film photography class. The first five are shots on a theme: an exploration of Baltimore's Mt. Vernon neighborhood at night. I tried to capture the lines, curves and architectural essence of the neighborhood in a way that would give people a feel for the area surrounding the monument. The second five are a few of my favorite photos from the semester that I developed, printed and mounted for a final critique. The quality of these Flickr reproductions doesn't really do the actual prints justice. I don't have a flatbed scanner, so I took hand-held photos of my mounted prints in bad tungsten lighting with my D200 -- not the best way to show off one's work. I guess you'll just have to trust me when I say they look better in person. Even so, you can get the general idea of what I've been up to for the past few months.
