tanah-lot is such a magical place.
the photo definately has the 'wow'
factor... but almost a little too much 'wow'.

Interesting thoughts coming from the group. I
knew from the beginning that this was a bit
of an experiment and may not be taken as
well.
As far as the 700px remark - I've had
number of images stolen from my online
portfolios and used in publications and
therefore don't upload full size versions
ever. I would hope that the size uploaded
does not affect voting on images - I hope
there's some acceptance for those of us who
sell our work and cannot afford to 'give it
away'.

Well, if you are worried about pictures being
stolen from your portfolio, then you shouldnt
be competing in critique groups IMO.
Especially since its very easy to submit a
badly crafted image at 700px and pass it off.
You wouldnt dream of submitting a tiny
image in a real competition would you?
Anyhow, the challenged image is much
stronger anyhow IMO. Its more relatable
instead of being some imagined landscape.

I think you've lost count - it's already had
7 'none' votes. I believe it's finished.
@Big Frank - I understand your point, but I
consider Flickr 'competitions' to be a
completely different category than one where
money/publication is involved. I consider
Flickr as a whole to be more light-hearted
and social than some of the other sites
dedicated towards more serious critiques, so
I don't think I should be left out simply
because I don't wish to have my work
downloaded for free. If you feel I shouldn't
submit any more images to the group, I'll
take it into consideration.

I dont want to tell you not to submit, just
expect that sometimes you are going to ruled
against for it.
Look - here's my feeling: If you submit a
picture at 1600 x 1000 its only big enough to
print at reasonable quality at 4x6. You're
hardly going to lose any sales on that piece.
