B&W

Fervently committed to pursuing color photography despite a lifelong admiration for the great black and white masterpieces of photographic history, I encountered a professional photographer and artist, Marty Knapp, who has photographed the Point Reyes, California area for over 20 years.

When I found out he was offering a workshop weekend class for a small group of people I decided to enroll just to see what was possible and as an excuse to revisit Point Reyes.

Although I still love color, I now look at every photo I take to see if it works better in B&W, and as a result of the workshop think about what I see and whether it might make a good B&W photo.
