Been working this for a week. Even simple stuff takes a while when you add in the time to paint two coats on each side.
A small room next to the kitchen will be used as a breakfast area, and the closet needed to be converted to a pantry to hold all of our jars o’ good vittles. Three days on the saws with some drum sanding and a router – two coats of paint and we are in business. Basically we extended the shelving in the rear and put some facing (my own freehanded curve). All done with pine board to try to maintain the 1930s feel to the material.

Thanks - I just got a comment from a friend that the curves look like open books, something that I did not see, but see clearly now that it has been pointed out. Sort of thematically cool, although I don't see how books really relate to food. Cookbooks?
