in april 2006, we moved our organization into a donated two-story house, formerly a daycare center that the owners chose not to re-open. thanks to tolerance and need among residents, we were able to bring food, clothing, supplies, and bicycles to violet and st. bernard parish. in may, we became incorporated as a louisiana non profit. we closed this location in october 2006 and stopped distribution efforts completely, focusing on rebuilding and working one-on-one with community members.
