Shell Set No.1

Now for something completely different....these are inspired by the natural abstracts of Ansel Adams that I saw at the wonderful "Celebration of Genius" exhibition in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago.

	keigokato says: Just saw this shot, Kate. I like the organic feel to this shot. A lot of contrast to it. I would like to see this with duotone treatment in Photoshop - tiny turcoise or blue toning to it would bring the mood for this shot really nicely. If printing, I would say Ilford Galerie range - I think classic, and not smooth, as you probably want a little texture to the paper, rather than the super smooth finish, right? It would also look really good on canvas, I think. PS, if you are going to use Photobox, make sure you up your exposure by a notch. Their prints come out a little darker than intended a lot of the times, especially if your monitor isn't calibrated. With a lot of shadows like your shots, you may well lose quite a bit of the details. Posted 4 months ago. ( permalink )
