freshwater tules at the inland end of the Alviso Slough, which are an indication of too much freshwater, i.e. not enough tidal flow, in the slough -- but they're pretty when the sun hits them just right

@karlclow, I actually kind of like the harsh
light in the background -- i tried toning it
down in PS, but it just deadened the image,
& i think (i hope?) it creates a sense of
how the marsh is such a different world than
that outside brightness...
