aww, thanks!
hogan wren-- i started with the squares as a row, then went off of that. if you have a shirt that fits well to measure it against, you can pretty much wing it.

jazzarucci- go for it ! it's really not that difficult and if you have a sewing pattern you like you can even just crochet the top piece to match the sizing on the pattern (minus seam allowance). i winged it with a top I made that I liked the fit of. Please share your results if you do make it--and check out greenkitchen's photostream for her version.

I'd love to give it a go, been wanting to do something like this for aaaaages!! I love 'greenkitchens' too! I'm not sure though what to do for the yoke.. I'm sure I can play around with it & work something out unless I find a pattern of some sort online..
