Self portrait with East German / Soviet respirator

As this is an unused respirator I was loath to remove the base plug to allow air through the filter. Hence I could only stand still wearing the mash for about seventy-five seconds before having to remove it and breathe. Needed to take a lot of pix because o difficulty of lining up hand held mobile and keeping it still enough.
Had great fear of being unable to remove mask in time, falling unconscious to floor and being discovered several days later and being mistaken for a Tory MP

So that's why it's misting up - no air
getting in.

Hi Graham, yes misting for both that reason
and through sweating, wearing NVA jacket
buttoned up. Designed for East German winters
it's a tad warm when worn inside the house.

Never seen you looking so good Rob! :-)
Pakora WILL HAVE bad dreams if she looks at
this.
Is this the real Macspite coming out of the
closet?!

Hi John, long time no etc ....
Just a normal evening at home, cataloging
my militaria and undergoing autoasphyxiation
for the edification of flickr users. Erotic
it ain't in my opinion but each to their own.
As for coming out of the closet in my case
it's more like a fully fitted wardrobe with
sliding mirror doors and concealed lighting.
Love and apologies to Pakora.
