I was sitting over here making fun of SAH, because that is what I do.

From the menu: "We claim this to be the best bacon cheeseburger in the city, state, nation and all the world! It is garnished in abundance with three thick slices of hickory maple-smoked bacon, crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and mayo. You choose your favorite cheese: Cheddar, American, Swiss, Monterey Jack, Bleu, Provalone or Pepper-Jack. "
Well, this is certainly a good burger. I'm not sure it's at the top of my list, but it has a lot going for it. The presentation is great. It's not to big, not to small. It comes in a basket with a good amount of thin-cut fries, it's wrapped in butcher paper for easy handling and it's overall flavor is smooth and satisfying. I really like the shredded lettuce and the tomatoes was also good. The mayo was light and the cheese was thick and just the right meltiness. The burger itself was tasty. The meat was tender. Firm, but not overdone and the grill flavor was nice.
However, the bacon wasn't that great. It wasn't bad, but it's flavor was barely distinguishable from the burger itself and, instead of being meaty or crispy, it felt underdone and fatty. It certainly contributed to the burger's overall satisfying taste, but not as a distinct component or as well as in other examples I've already posted.
It's a good burger. I would gladly eat another, but it's not the world's best.

Not the world's best, but the 5 alarm burger
comes closer to best for me. ;-)

5 alarm burger, huh? I'm betting by the name
that it's too spicey for me. But yeah, it was
a very good burger. And I'd be tempted to try
some of thier other burgers as well. They
certainly had a lot to choose from. This one
above was the first and only time I've been
to a Red Robbin. I'll have to go back. (SAH)
