Poem by Marge Piercy I read several times a day -- whenever I am washing dishes at the sink I see it there. I've had this poem by my sink for 25+ years no matter where we lived.

One of the mugs my mom gave us for Christmas ... they are from "Democracy Now"

when I took this photo today, it was 30F outside the kitchen window. The sun is shining brightly and I have the back door open for fresh air! Yay Montana!

This was my grandmother's blackbird that she would put in the middle of a pie crust to let out the steam. It's hollow inside.

A little orchid from my grandpa's garden, rescued by my aunt. It has never bloomed for me. :-( maybe it doesn't like living near the window in winter? closeup

this little dish is where I keep wishbones until they are dry enough to break with someone.

a very funky pot one of our kids made for us. It's only 3 inches around, but it weighs about 3 pounds! hefty! It makes a great soap dish
