Hay Bales Redux

I think that people sound a little bit self-important when they insist that to truly appreciate the beauty of their work that it best that you bother to make another click and resize your window so that you can view the majestic scope and awesome detail of their vision. That said ...

Hay Bales

Are they still called 'bales' if they're rolled instead of in big bricks? Although I suppose that they are really the modern analogies to hay stacks rather than hay bales.

This is a farm on highway 86 in Huron County. Which highway, btw, is a slice through a different Ontario that I am used to. Not just farms, which I can find just a short bike ride away from the city, but only farms ... nothing but farms. Punctuated only by little small-town-Ontario towns that are being swallowed up here in the so-called Golden Horseshoe. This seemed goldener as I drove through it on the way back home to Hamilton.

Camp Cooking

My wife making bacon and eggs and more coffee* on our Coleman stove while wearing my old Quebec Lodge camp t-shirt (I got it when I was seven, so better that I don't wear it).

* The first cups - and the required filling and pumping and lighting - are my problem.
