Very nice! I'm glad you completed your
original diptych with the other two seasons,
it makes for a wonderful shot.
Actually, I realized it reminded me of a poster of Winnie the Pooh that is at my daughter's
daycare.

i looooooove it. the editor in me wants the
seasons to be in chronological order, but the
photographer in me likes the composition
you've created better.
you've inspired me to absolutely steal your
idea. our little one is just 4 months, so
we'll have to be patient to get the 4 seasons
in!

I so hope to copy this concept without daring
to dream I'd catch such similar expressions
each time. Starting with fall now and I'm
realizing I've already shot it too close. A
full length shows the seasons so much better.
Love this.

If anyone could pull it off, it's you Angela!
Look forward to seeing your seasons.
I didn't set out to do this from the
get-go. I just happened to notice that I had
summertime and falltime shots of Max that
were coincidentally similar. The idea of
getting Max to fit a pattern that specific
two more times overwhelmed my nerves and made
my stomach hurt. It was almost a lost cause,
but then we had that snowfall in the end of
April. And the stakes were unbelieveably high
for the spring shot. I would have been
devastated to fail at that point.
I wasn't going to do this again, but then I
discovered I have two shots that are
wonderfully similar, and Max loves carrying
big things. So my stomach hurts a little less
this time.

Some ideas for the spring shot in the series
discussed above right after Angela's
comments. Since he likes to carry large
things a large colorful kite would work well
for spring. Some others might be a bucket
with oversized kids garden tools, or a
fabricated oversized flower seed packet. You
also might try an umbrella, and you could
even put him in a bright yellow rain coat.
Also you could get a very large easter egg.
Hope that gives you some ideas to build on.
