Angkor WatLooking very green at the moment, Angkor Wat is nevertheless sinking into the ground. Cambodia wants 3 million tourists per year by 2010 and the hotels that have mushroomed up throughout town are creating phenominal demand on the town's infrastructure. Angkor Wat is trampled from above and subsiding from below due to a drop in the water table. Uploaded on Jul 19, 2008 How I almost completely failed to photograph one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen
This afternoon at Sangkheum, suspended in the air and seemingly going up over a hundred feet were the finest threads like spider web. They caught the light of the sun and appeared to form concentric rings around it, giving the appearance of some kind of tunnel directly into the sun. It was very weird, and very, very beautiful. Apparently something to do with lotus blossoms on Tonle Sap. Uploaded on Jul 3, 2008 You'd expect to hear something, wouldn't you?A lot of the time in Cambodia, the lightning is not followed by thunder. It seems close enough but there's no sound. This is just plain creepy. Uploaded on Jun 30, 2008 |
