iPhone 3G is annoying

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

So Apple removed the Firewire charging pin from iPhone 3G for some odd reason, which means it can no longer charge with many accessories.

I have no idea why they'd do this, because it now no longer works with my Sony car stereo. I hope they release a patch to fix the communication between the phone and the head unit, because I believe all the hardware required to do this is still there. Currently I have to trick the phone by playing a song before I connect it to the unit and then I can control it, but I'd rather not have to do this.

iPhone v1 was able to be charged and controlled fine.
