AMD Students Receive Superintendent’s
Medals
(OSSINING, N.Y.) –The Ossining Union
Free School District has reintroduced
its Students of Distinction program,
recognizing the academic achievement of
students from each of the district’s
schools at a presentation preceding a
regularly scheduled Board of Education
meeting. The students’ principals
introduce each student and outline his
or her achievements, and the students
receive a Superintendent’s Medal of
Distinction and Certificate. A book is
also donated in the name of each student
to the students’ libraries.
The second presentation took place on
Wed., Jan. 10, honoring the following
students from Anne M. Dorner school:
Grade 6--Carlos Pereira, Jurdyn Byrd,
Janette Trotman and Andrew Nichols;
Grade 7--Charles Lin, Ashley Carter and
Mirko Petrovic; Grade 8--Sabrina Jordan,
Alina Lesnovskaya, Dylan Bryant and
Kimberly Snyder. Congratulations to all!
