Thriftgoddess! [deleted] says:
Look at that red, red lipstick! A classic.
They don't make lipstick like that anymore.

Cross Ellen - It did very well, and provided
the family with lots of funny stories, to
boot.

Cool. My mom's down in Long Beach (next to
Gulfport, next to Biloxi); I'll be visiting
her next month. Can't wait to get back down
South again.

Hope your homecoming is a pleasant one. I
live in Gulfport - small world. I agree!

It is a small world! I'll be there in two
weeks... do you know the unfinished furniture
store on 49 near the interstate? That's my
uncle's place!

Yep, I know the place. Right next to Sam's
Club. Are you a native Mississippian who
somehow escaped to LA?

Not exactly-- I grew up on Air Force bases,
but my mom (and her side of the family) is
from there... so I'm back there often to see
her. In fact, in two weeks it's my Cousin's
wedding. At the top of the Hancock Bank
building, which I'll bet you also know :-)

Oh, yeah - you mean the Great Southern Club.
I'm glad that's up and running. I hear the
bank is doing a huge restoration/renovation
of Hancock Plaza. You'll be able to tell
your friends back home that the party was
held in the middle of an official Federal
disaster area :0)

Yeah, the Great Southern Club, that's it.
Hmm, I'm not sure that having a rehearsal
dinner for a wedding in an official Federal
disaster area is necessarily a good thing...

Wow, the women back then were so classy and
beautiful! :) My Grandma used to be like
that too--perfect posture, hair, nails,
clothes, makeup, the whole nine yards. The
women back then had a way of carrying
themselves in such a way that made them all
look regal and elegant. Very nice picture,
thanks for sharing. :)
Blessings!
